“You are one decision away from changing your entire life.”
This hit me really hard last week. I distinctly remember the moment when I sent a Facebook Message to Zach asking him about grad school.
It felt a little uncomfortable… who knew if he would respond or just seem out of the blue. I didn’t know, but I did it.
And that led to sushi, another day of bike riding, and now I’m freaking married to the guy.
One decision. That’s it.
Or the time I was like, “well I guess I’ll apply to bike across America” even though I have NEVER done anything even remotely close and didn’t have a bike or really any time to train considering a heavy school load.
What if I just didn’t apply because I thought I was too “whatever” or not enough “other BS thought” to do it?
Or the job I applied to in 2013 that I didn’t feel remotely qualified for and then got, which led to my discovery and passion for Des Moines, and branding.
I think about all the women who are speaking up in 2017 about mistreatment by men.
I think about Zach’s aunt Jane Meyer who made the decision to fight against the University of Iowa.
What makes us confident and totally jive in our lives is the act of courage… every single day.
Your idea is worth sharing.
Your thoughts are important.
Your voice can change the world.
Show up. With all of yourself.
And then show others how to do the exact same.
