If not for my entrepreneurial endeavor with Beautycounter, I don’t know how educated I would be about lipstick. About two years ago, I started obsessing over lipstick. I love bright red (thanks Tay Swift) and other more neutral colors. It’s something I almost always put on before heading into work, even when I know I’m the only one there. It’s this sense of “ok, I’m ready now” and off I go.
The lip sheer is to die for because it’s creamy and long-lasting. Coupled it with the lip shine and you’ve got a glossy, glam look. I started with the Petal color to play it safe and now I have two more heading my way.
Typical lipsticks I’ve snagged at Target have left my lips dry and crackly, but the lip sheer hydrates by using jojoba oil and I feel great knowing there are no toxic ingredients, especially after learning this:
On average, the average woman will consume seven pounds of lipstick in a decade.
Knowing ingredients that are in the lipsticks we are essentially eating and feeling great about wearing them is exactly why Beautycounter exists. Safe & effective products for everyone is the message we share! Plus, the products are incredibly chic.
Education is power. Learn what’s in your beauty products by downloading the Skin Deep app on your phone and typing in the product (or scanning it). The app doesn’t have everything, but it’s a great start to learn what products are safe to use. Enjoy!
