Hello winter. You’re officially here in all your glory. While I absolutely love flats and sandals, I’ve become quite content with winter shoe options.
Over the fall, I’ve gotten four pairs of shoes that keep my feet warm, are functional, and…cute IMO. 🙂
I remember when I moved to London for a semester and was in desperate need of rain boots (they call wellies which fills my heart with joy). I tried on Hunter Boots and I couldn’t pull them up over my calf. At that point, I lost all hope in ever owning a pair of these boots.
I decided to give it a try again after I saw some wider options online my hope slowly came back. The reviews were looking great and when I got them, my faith was restored. Just ask anyone I work with; I wear these shoes all. the. time. If you get the sock inserts too you’re feet will be so warm & happy.
Target Short Rain Boots
These shorter rain boots are also my jam. I love them with my shorter Smart Wool socks and a pair of jeans (these Madewell jeans are still my favorite). Plus at $25 for a pair of shoes, you just can’t go wrong. They go with everything & have kept my feet really warm. It also appears that they are only $17.49 right now, so go get ’em! <3
New Balance for J.Crew
Gold + White shoes? Be still my soul. I’ve always wanted a pair of shoes that were more casual (and cute) than my Nikes. While I am definitely not going to be wearing these when the snow is melting and disgusting, they are great year-round shoes. I can’t wait to pack these on our trip to Arkansas next weekend. Here is the rest of my packing list over on our travel blog, IOWANDERERS.
Madden Girl Wedges (and anything Steve Madden)
I’m so glad tassels are in. They are so fun! I’ll also take wedges over heels any day. My goal is to find a great pair of wedges for my wedding day since I want a little bit of height but a TON of comfort. These suede shoes are my go-to dress up shoe.
