1. Last Friday, Morgan and I hosted a little “summer & sangria” shindig at my place. The sangria had champagne in it and oh so much fruit. Aside from major storms, the evenings in Des Moines lately have been so perfect. I want many more nights where there are pitchers of beverages and sunshine and great company.
2. A lot of times I feel like the word “busy” is the quick response to “how have you been?” Is that how you answer? Sometimes I think busy is the word we find value in. But I have been trying to make summer quite the opposite. This post prompted it & was a great reminder. Which is probably why I’m writing this with Girls on in the background and a pretty smelling candle.
3. It was Father’s Day on Sunday so off to Exile we went. I love these people.
4. Our team from Des Moines got accepted to attend a Community Leadership Institute in Louisville this fall. A group of Viva East Bank people are heading there to pick a project to work on together, take some classes and learn how to become a stronger group!
