1. The absolute highlight of the week was ending it at Eatery A with two lovely ladies. Happy hour there consists of half off bottles of wine, drinks in general and pizza. So yes, we took advantage of that! We gathered our little selves post-dinner and enjoyed an evening downtown. Much of the night involved singing musicals. And interpretive dancing. Which should come as no surprise when you see who is on my right in that picture.
2. Saturday and Sunday were dedicated to learning yoga! Which was so eye-opening. I deepened my practice and learned Sun A and Sun B. Come over soon so I can practice with you. I took Saturday night for some quality time on the couch. I had been sick half of the week so it was good to continue resting up with some Sex and the City and an intense cry session with The Fault in Our Stars in hand. Seriously. Ripped me a new one and then all I did was cry. And cry. And cry. A sweet release.
3. Monday came around and we had our monthly Lead Like a Lady meeting where Sara Kurovski, Mayor of Pleasant Hill, spoke at the Capitol. She is lovely. And then we were given access to the tippy top of the Capitol! The beautiful gold dome with the best view of the city. #selfie
5. I keep looking up grad schools and then getting upset at myself. I have this urge to continue learning and then I do irrational, impulsive things, so I need to just calm down. We were asked at yoga to talk about our “dream job” and I simply do not have one. I would rather just do about 100,000 different things in my life because I think so many fields are interesting. But then I’m all, Emily you’d be better off if you could just become an expert in one field. And then the other part of me is like what fun is that?! So, welcome to my inner dialogue.
